The Garden of Impulse | 16x20 | Abstract Painting
My art celebrates those who've walked through the fire.
The colors of the garden are featured in this chaotic composition of swirling marks. An ADHD mind is always buzzing and filled with ideas and impulses that can feel dynamic and exciting; while also feeling stressful and overwhelming. In the end, the mind is still beautiful and fabulous.

Title: The Garden of Impulse
Size: 16x20”, 1.5” depth from the wall, vertical
Medium: Acrylic, gouache, matte medium, pencil, on canvas
Framed in white wooden floater frame, wired ready to hang.
These abstract pieces explore what it feels like inside my brain while overcoming life obstacles and celebrating the joys. It is complicated and full of color, confusion, decay, growth, and beauty. There is optimism, light, and energy. There is fear, desperation and stress. There is dismay, chatter, loneliness and overwhelm and it ALL exists together in the beauty of life.
I create a tangle of color, shape and line to convey this confusion of life and decay to the viewer in a relatable way. Surprisingly, the end result is something I hope to be “pretty” and interesting to look at. To be relatable and delightful despite having a morbid undercurrent. Like it has a hidden secret there in plain view…a secret shared between artist and viewer. What we see on the surface isn’t always the end of the story; it’s just the very beginning.

I get into a flow state and then I channel the colors, marks, composition, vibes and energy from a higher power. Some people call it God or Holy Spirit, some call it Source or Universe, some call it the Muse. It's meant for a particular person and my job is to bring it to life through paint, infuse it with the energies, and share it.
Intuitive Abstract Paintings
Rather than depicting the physical world, these gestural abstract paintings seek to make energy visible—capturing the forces that shape us, shift us, and call us forward. My titles, often whimsical or evocative, serve as glimpses into the essence of each piece, offering an invitation for interpretation, connection, and feeling. My work is a conversation in color—an energy portrait waiting for you to claim as your own.
What's an Energy Portrait?
My work is a conversation in color—a translation of unseen energies into form. Each abstract painting I make is an Energy Portrait, a spiritual channeled visual manifestation of presence, emotion, and transformation. Some pieces ignite momentum, sparking movement, passion, and boldness. Others offer sanctuary, inviting stillness, reflection, and quiet strength. Both energies are essential. Sometimes, we need to claim the fire. Other times, we need to claim the calm.
