My art practice has required me to decide what I want to do with my time each day. How do I want to spend and experience my energy? There is something to be said for working slowly and deliberately on something that is high-quality and meaningful. This means there isn’t a ton of work made attainable for anyone and everyone like fast fashion. It means I am allowing for precious time with my children. Time to take a walk and watch the leaves dance on their branches. Time to live this one life and NOTICE it while it’s happening. It’s taken me years to understand and embrace this.
