Julie Loved a Nude Beach | 36x36 | Bird Painting
Regular price
$2,400.00
My art celebrates those who've walked through the fire.
Julie. Oh, Julie. She’s a hoot. She’s the friend who will skinny-dip at midnight with her friends on a trip. I think she told me she was on “Gulls Gone Wild” in the early 90s. Julie doesn’t mind being loud and proud and is always happy to take up space. She is happy with her body and with who she is…life is short! Everyone likes Julie and wants to be her friend…and she is SUCH a good friend. Julie reminds us to accept ourselves as we are and to live life to the fullest. She also reminds us that it’s ok to be silly sometimes; life is too short to worry about every little thing.

That little glowing icon hovering above the birds' heads is the most important part. In the real world, this crown is invisible, but we all have one. It’s a "crown of power" or a halo that reminds us that we are holy, unique, and that we matter intrinsically just because we were born.
Why birds?
You might see a bird on a canvas, but to me, those birds are us. Just like people, every bird I paint is a unique personality with its own name, energy, and special talents. We are all different, and we are all serving a unique purpose in this world. I celebrate this. I celebrate YOU.
You don't earn your worth. You were BORN with it.
Here's the thing they don't tell you when you're young: the people who call you 'too much' are usually the ones who can't handle your energy because they've dimmed their own. If you've ever been told you're too loud, too opinionated, too emotional, too sensitive, too ambitious, or just... too MUCH —
These birds are for you.
