Bird Paintings
The exclusive bird collection represents un-caged women embracing their inner strength, sparkle, and authenticity. The crown symbols represent the fact we are all sacred and perfectly made…no matter what we were told or how we may feel. There is life after abuse, oppression and neglect...we are all rare birds finding our colors.

Sunday Funday! Libby arrived at Sunday brunch only to find everyone else looked extra cute. Why couldn’t they just wear joggers and an old sweatshirt like the rest of the place? Saturday night was a little rough and the last thing she wanted was makeup and high heels. With Monday coming, Libby wanted bacon, pancakes and a mimosa or two…and a nice long nap afterward.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“The Uncaged” is a collection of original contemporary abstract paintings featuring realistic bird renderings to illustrate the concept of the “un-caging” of women. They may be oppressed or abused for part of their lives; later to break free to go on and flourish— to be their authentic selves. They are full of personality and color…truly unique. I think about how women couldn’t even have their own lines of credit until the mid-seventies...I realize so many must have felt trapped as they stuffed themselves into a figurative box to please a spouse or others. These works are a tribute to those powerful inner spirits and personalities that won’t be caged again!
